The Virginia Symphony, headquartered in Norfolk and serving the Hampton Roads region of the state, has announced that RONY THOMAS has been named chair-elect of the Board of Directors, with a term of office to begin July 1, 2013. A resident of Virginia Beach and a member of the orchestra’s board since 2008, Thomas is president and CEO of LifeNet Health, Inc. He holds a master’s degree in engineering and biomedical engineering from the University of Akron and an executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
