Tuesday (6/12) on ClevelandClassical.com, Mike Telin writes, “As the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra prepares to embark on its first international tour from June 13-21 that includes concerts in Prague, Czech Republic (Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum), Vienna, Austria (Minoritenkirche) and Salzburg, Austria (Grosser Saal of the Mozarteum) ClevelandClassical extends our best wishes for a successful tour to all COYO musicians who will be representing the City of Cleveland as cultural ambassadors. … Although the primary focus of the tour is about giving concerts and artistic excellence, COYO music director James Feddeck told us by phone that he also sees the importance of the tour in a more expansive way. ‘I am very proud of them, and of course this is a concert tour so that is a primary consideration, but in all the cities we have arranged for time for sight-seeing.
