KARIN STONE has been named vice president for institutional advancement at the Cleveland Institute of Music, a new post created as part of an organizational change that combines CIM’s offices of concerts and events, development, and marketing. Stone was previously chief marketing officer at National City Corporation, and had earlier held senior leadership roles at American Express, Ford Motor Company, and Walker Digital. She serves on the boards of the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture and the Greater Cleveland Film Commission. Stone holds a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, Minn.) and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
