The DC Youth Orchestra has appointed JOSHUA SIMONDS executive director. He goes to Washington, D.C. from Chicago, where he had served as general manager of Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras since 2003. Simonds holds a bachelor’s degree in music, with a specialty in percussion, from California State University-Long Beach. He earned a master’s in arts management from American University in Washington, D.C.
