The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra has launched its first mobile application, the SPCO Classical Listening Library, featuring more than 250 live concert recordings that can be streamed through iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. The SPCO’s Listening Library, launched in October 2011, was previously available only via the SPCO website and Classical Minnesota Public Radio. Performances featured in the library were recorded and broadcast by Classical Minnesota Public Radio; the free mobile app was made possible by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation intended to help the SPCO expand its digital media capabilities. More information about the app can be found at thespco.org/app.
