The pianist Misha Dichter has recently published A Pianist’s World in Drawings, a collection of drawings in an 83-page e-book by Rosetta Books. The book includes caricatures of life on the classical stage in a style that has been compared to that of George Grosz and Saul Steinberg, whose work has frequently appeared in the New Yorker. The book, derived from Dichter’s nearly five decades as a concert pianist, includes chapters on the Aspen Music Festival, conductors, and agents. A capsule review of the book, plus a slide show from the book, can be found at NPR.
