Friday (8/10) on the Post-Dispatch blog Culture Club (St. Louis), Sarah Bryan Miller reports, “The St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra has a new manager: Jessica Ingraham, until recently the director of bands at St. Charles High School. Ingraham, whose full new title is Youth Orchestra Manager & Education Programs Coordinator, joins SLSO vice president Adam Crane’s Department of External Affairs. Crane says, ‘She coordinated and taught every aspect of the St. Charles High School Band program from scheduling to finances to—most importantly—the students’ music education. Music education is one of Jessica’s great passions and all of us were inspired by her commitment.’ Ingraham is also an active performer, Crane notes, playing clarinet in the St. Louis Wind Symphony. … Crane and his colleagues believe that she’ll fit right in with the SLSYO’s new program to develop the ‘whole musician,’ learning to communicate and mentor others, as well as performing. ‘Jessica serves as a model’ of that, with her varied talents and achievements.’ ”
