Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts (Katonah, N.Y.) has announced the appointment of JEFFREY P. HAYDON as chief executive officer, effective September 17, 2012. He succeeds MICHAEL BARRETT, who has led the organization for the past nine years. Haydon comes to Caramoor from California’s Ojai Music Festival, where he has served as executive director since 2003. His background includes administrative positions with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and Aspen Music Festival. He is a 1998 alumnus of the League of American Orchestras’ Orchestra Management Fellowship Program. A native of California, Haydon earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Puget Sound, and completed Stanford Business School’s Executive Non-Profit Leaders in the Arts Program in association with National Arts Strategies.
