The Cleveland Orchestra has appointed SUZANNE WALTERS to the newly created position of assistant director of the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choruses. A public school music teacher for the past 24 years, she is currently responsible for K-5 general music education at Jackson Local Schools and directs an elementary-school choir of 90 students. Walters is also a special lecturer for music education students at the University of Akron School of Music, and has served as a clinician for the Ohio Music Education Association’s District 8 Elementary Honors Choir. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the College of Wooster (Ohio) and a Master of Music Education degree from the University of Akron.
