Thursday (10/4) on the Daily Pilot online (Costa Mesa, California), Bradley Zint writes, “Four members of the Pacific Symphony are celebrating their 30th year with the orchestra. Principal violist Bob Becker, French horn player Russell Dicey, bass player Andrew Bumatay and violinist Robin Sandusky were noted for the milestone in this month’s SoundWAVE, the orchestra’s newsletter. … The orchestra also announced ‘a few new faces as well as the return of familiar ones’ in SoundWAVE. Meredith Crawford won the position of assistant principal viola. Violists Erik Rynearson won the fifth chair, and Adam Neeley won the 10th chair. Rynearson is a former member of the symphony, and Neeley begins his position in December. Marisa Sorajja, a former sub with the orchestra, won a spot in the violin section. She begins this month.”
