Four musician appointments have been announced by the Fort Worth (Tex.) Symphony Orchestra: JENNIFER CHANG and ORDABEK DUISSEN, section first violin; MOLLY BAER section second violin; and KELLY CORNELL, associate principal/utility horn. Chang, a graduate of Northwestern University, has performed in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and recently completed a Fellowship with the New World Symphony. Duissen, educated in his native Kazakhstan, is assistant concertmaster of the Dallas Opera Orchestra and has performed with the New World, Alabama, Dallas, and Fort Worth symphony orchestras. Baer, also a recent New World Symphony Fellow, holds degrees from New England Conservatory and Carnegie Mellon University. Cornell has served as guest principal horn with the Buffalo Philharmonic and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and as a member of the Nashville and Kansas City symphonies. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and New England Conservatory.
