At the Paducah (Ky.) Symphony Orchestra, SUE-JEAN PARK has been named acting concertmaster for the 2012-13 season. She succeeds KATHY GARDNER, who recently stepped down as concertmaster after many years in that post. Park is assistant professor of violin and viola at Kentucky’s Murray State University and concertmaster of the Jackson (Tenn.) Symphony Orchestra. A graduate of Seoul National University, Yale, and the University of Texas at Austin, Park has served as concertmaster of UNESCO’s Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra, the Washington Korean Symphony at the Kennedy Center, and the Seoul National University Symphony.
