The Elgin (Ill.) Youth Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of violinist JACQUELINE FISHER as director of its Chamber Music Institute, a training program for EYSO and non-EYSO students in grades four and above. A member of the Rockford (Ill.) Symphony Orchestra since 1998, she has taught at The Betty Haag Academy of Music (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) and has led numerous workshops in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music performance from the University of Illinois.
