The recipients of the fourth annual Meadows Prize arts residency at Southern Methodist University in Texas are Nadia Sirota, a violist who is a founding member of the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, yMusic, and the Wordless Music Orchestra; and Tania Bruguera, a Cuban-born interdisciplinary artist who works primarily in behavior art, performance, installation, and video. Each artist will receive a $25,000 stipend and spend four weeks in Dallas working with Meadows students and collaborating with local arts organizations to produce a new work. Sirota’s residency at SMU will take place from April 1-14, 2013 and October 7-19, 2013. Bruguera will be in residence from April 7-20, 2013 and September 22-October 5, 2013. The Meadows Prize is given annually to emerging artists and scholars.
