Attorney and retired business executive CHARLES M. KIERSCHT has been elected chair of Chicago’s Grant Park Orchestral Association. He has been a member of the GPOA board since 2009, having served on its development committee and as chair of its governance committee. From 1966 to 2007 Kierscht was an executive at Kemper Financial Services, including service as vice president and general counsel and subsequently as president and CEO. He holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Iowa, and is currently board president of the Iowa Law School Foundation, which is dedicated to raising funds for the university’s College of Law.
