The Phoenix Symphony has announced the appointment of THOMAS BOOKHOUT to a two-year term as chorus master, a post he had held on an interim basis since last August. Bookhout continues to serves as director of performing arts at the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Christian Academy and of the Sanctuary Choir of Camelback Bible Church. Before moving to the Phoenix area nine years ago he was music director of the Taghkanic Chorale in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. Earlier posts include director of choral activities at the University of Charleston (W.Va.); chorus master of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra; and two posts at Arizona State University, director of the Women’s Chorus and assistant conductor of the Concert Choir.
