The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra will join the May Festival Chorus, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera, and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company on March 2 for a free program entitled “Heroes and Villains” at Cincinnati’s Music Hall. The hourlong program, which takes place during the second of three Macy’s Arts Sampler weekends in February, March, and April, will feature  music and dance from Romeo and Juliet, Aida, Don Giovanni, and Swan Lake. On March 2 there will also be a variety of related events in and around Washington Park such as workshops in movement, mask-making, and circus acts; a pirate-themed program featuring the Cincinnati Boychoir; and lessons in fight choreography and hip-hop dance. The Macy’s Arts Sampler weekends celebrate the Cincinnati area’s music, dance, theater, museums, and festivals, and feature hundreds of events at standard performance venues as well as at neighborhood and community arts centers. http://www.theartswave.org/connect/macys-arts-sampler
