The New Orleans-based Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra has announced the appointment of JIHYUN KIM as director of artistic planning and production; JT KANE as orchestra personnel and popular programming manager; and JONATHAN WELLS as marketing and communications associate.

Jihyun Kim, a native of Korea, goes to New Orleans following five years as operations and touring manager of New York City’s Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. A native of Korea, she studied cello at the Yehudi Menuhin School in England and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Juilliard School.

JT Kane was most recently with Chattanooga (Tenn.) Symphony and Opera, where he started in 2009 as assistant principal violist and also served as assistant personnel manager and development intern. He holds a master’s degree in viola performance from Florida’s Harid Conservatory, and is a graduate of the League of American Orchestras’ Essentials of Orchestra Management seminar.

Jonathan Wells was most recently a project coordinator for the Community Foundation of East Mississippi, and before that served as education and marketing coordinator for the Meridian (Miss.) Symphony Orchestra. He holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration degree from the University of New Orleans and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University.
