The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has appointed LINDA LUTZ chief financial officer. A native of Southfield, Mich., she joins the DSO after nine years as finance director of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. Before joining that organization in 1999, initially as manager of business practices, Lutz was chief financial officer at Galco Industrial Electronics. She began her career in public accounting as an auditor at Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu International). She holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan, where she also earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
