The Virginia Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of JON P. MOSBO as general manager, effective April 1. Since last September he has served as interim executive director of the Binghamton (N.Y.) Philharmonic. He worked previously with the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Syracuse (N.Y.) and Savannah (Ga.) symphony orchestras, and the Crested Butte (Colo.) Music Festival. Mosbo also has 25 years of experience as a professional musician.
