Robinson Center Music Hall, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s regular performance venue in Little Rock, will close for renovations beginning in 2014, and the orchestra is inviting the public to listen and offer feedback as it tests out suitable alternate venues in central Arkansas. On March 29, the ASO will host an open dress rehearsal at the Wally Allen Ballroom in the State House Convention Center in Little Rock, where it will perform works by Stravinsky, Rossini, and Johann Strauss, as well as music from the films Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator and from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Phantom of the Opera. The free open rehearsal has limited seating and the ASO is asking those interested in attending to RSVP by sending an email to kparker@arkansassymphony.org or calling 501-666-1761 ext 114.
