CELESTE WROBLEWSKI has been named vice president for public relations at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, effective June 3. In this capacity she will oversee both external and internal communication, and will develop and implement media relations strategies for Music Director Riccardo Muti and Creative Consultant Yo-Yo Ma as well as all programs of the CSO’s Symphony Center Presents and Institute for Learning, Access and Training. A Chicago native, Wroblewski has served as vice president for external relations at the Donor’s Forum since 2007. She has held leadership roles in communications, marketing, and fundraising at several nonprofit organizations in Chicago including the national office of the YMCA, where she spent eighteen years in a variety of public relations and product-development positions. Wroblewski has served on such committees as the Cities of Service Leadership Committee for the City of Chieago and the Communications Committee of Independent Sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
