The Lima (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of ELIZABETH BROWN as executive director. For the past five seasons she has served as the orchestra’s director of marketing, communications and external affairs, in which capacity she also handled special-event fundraising and outreach programs. A native of Lima, she holds a law degree and a master’s degree in International Affairs from American University in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Prior to joining the staff of the Lima Symphony she spent five years as an attorney at the New York law firm of Shearman &  Sterling, specializing in international finance.
