The Annapolis (Md.) Symphony Orchestra has announced a five-year extension of JOSÉ-LUIS NOVO’s contract as music director. He has led the ASO since 2005. Highlights of his tenure have included the orchestra’s 2006 debut at the Music Center at Strathmore outside Washington, D.C; an Adventurous Programming Award from ASCAP in 2008; and the ASO’s first commercial CD, commemorating the 300th anniversary of the signing of Annapolis’s Royal Charter.
