The Charlotte (N.C.) Symphony has announced the appointment of MICHELLE HAMILTON as vice president of development, effective July 1. Most recently the chief advancement officer for Crisis Assistance Ministry in Charlotte, she brings more than twenty years of professional fundraising experience to the orchestra, including development roles with the Houston Symphony, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Arts Council of Fort Worth. Hamilton has also served on the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Symphony’s volunteer association, the Symphony Guild of Charlotte. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Louisiana and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.
