Cirque Musica, the presenter of circus-and-symphony hybrid concert programs, will open a North American arena tour on June 22 at the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas. The tour will continue through the summer and fall in cities including Tulsa and Enid (Okla.), Loveland (Colo.), Abbottsford (B.C., Canada), Trenton (N.J.), and Tacoma (Wash.). Performances feature a live symphony orchestra and acts such as the Wallenda Highwire Duo and circus performer David Larible, previously with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. In addition to orchestral pops selections, performances feature music by Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, and Holst. Outside of the arena tour, Cirque Musica also regularly performs with orchestras such as the Baltimore Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Nashville Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, and San Diego Symphony. Cirque Musica is produced by Stephen Cook, previously chief of marketing at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and his Dallas-based company, TCG Productions.
