The Springfield (Mass.) Symphony Orchestra has appointed AUDREY SZYCHULSKI executive director, effective August 1. She will succeed MICHAEL JONNES, who retired in December 2012. Szychulski is currently executive director of the Erie (Pa.) Philharmonic, where she has served since August 2010. Her prior experience includes executive director posts at the Norwalk (Conn.) Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes in Corning, N.Y. A cellist, Szychulski holds degrees from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University in Philadelphia.
