The St. Louis Symphony has announced the appointment of BERAKIAH BOONE as director of education. She brings more than a decade of experience in early childhood and elementary school music education, most recently at Lucas Crossing Elementary Complex in the Normandy School District, where she developed and implemented K-6 lesson plans and instructed eighteen classes per week. Boone also maintains a private piano and vocal studio. A St. Louis native and product of the Normandy School District, she holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Spelman College in Atlanta and a master’s degree in elementary and secondary education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
