The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has announced several personnel changes, promotions, and staffing adjustments. PATRICIA WALKER has stepped down as chief operating officer, a post she had held since 2007; Walker originally joined the DSO in 1999 as vice president of human resources. PAUL HOGLE, executive vice president, and LINDA LUTZ, chief financial officer, have been assigned additional responsibilities. Also announced were several promotions: ERIK RÖNMARK to general manager and artistic administrator; ALICE SAURO to orchestra manager; SCOTT HARRISON to executive director of board engagement and strategy; CHRIS HARRINGTON to director of audience development and managing director of the Paradise Jazz Series; ANNA SAVONE to director of catering and retail services; and ANNÉ RENFORTH to patron sales and service manager. ERIC WOODHAMS has been named director of digital media, LINDSEY EVERT patron engagement and strategy manager, KATHRYN GINSBURG artistic manager, and BREE KNEISLER prospect research and advancement services manager. Five positions have been eliminated: archivist, controller, director of human resources, human resources coordinator, and manager of popular and special programs.
