Health Care Law Implementation: What Nonprofits Need to Know

The League has arranged access for member orchestras to a comprehensive webinar examining how nonprofit employers are and will be affected by the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as the health care reform law. Independent Sector, the national organization for the nonprofit and philanthropic sector, held a webinar in July 2013 advising nonprofit employers on what you need to know between now and full implementation in 2014, including the definitions of large and small employers and the requirements unique to each group, as well as proposed regulations that could have further impact on employers. Presented by a health law expert from Washington Council Ernst & Young, this webinar provides key information about the employer requirements—including reporting, the health care exchanges, insurance mandates—and upcoming deadlines.
