The Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra has announced contract extensions for Associate Conductor ROBERT TREVIÑO and Assistant Conductor WILLIAM WHITE, renewing their tenures through the end of the 2013-14 season. Treviño, named to the associate conductor post in the 2010-11 season, was the 2009 winner of Aspen Music Festival and School’s James Conlon Prize for Excellence; a laureate in the 2010 Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition; and a participant in the League of American Orchestras’ Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview in 2011. White is now beginning his third season as the Cincinnati Symphony’s assistant conductor. He also serves as conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra and directs the Seven Hills Sinfonietta, a Cincinnati-based community orchestra.
