“Lancaster Symphony Orchestra is partnering with local public libraries to provide Symphony Orchestra Family Passes for public use,” reads an unsigned article in Saturday’s (10/26) Intelligencer Journal (Lancaster, Pennsylvania). “The Family Symphony Pass, similar to the Family Museum Pass Program, will enable students and their families to enjoy a free concert in the symphony’s Classic Series. ‘We are thrilled to add the first performing arts component to what very well could become a new line of library passes from community institutions such as the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra,’ Bryant Croyle, community engagement and operations manager for the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, said. Passes are available at the public libraries in Columbia, Lancaster, Leola, Mountville, Quarryville and Gap. They can also be reserved at any public library in Lancaster County, including the Bookmobile, through interlibrary loan. ‘This will be an invaluable opportunity to invite families to engage in a unique musical and cultural experience at the Fulton Opera House,’ Frances Annis, library director in Quarryville, said in a statement released through the Library System of Lancaster County. Each season, the symphony presents six Classic Series concerts, a Sounds of the Season holiday series, two New Year’s Celebration concerts and several other special events at the Fulton.”
