As part of a partnership this season between the Denver Art Museum and the Colorado Symphony, ensembles from the CSO will perform every Sunday at the museum from November 3 to February 9. The French-themed concerts last 45 minutes each and are performed throughout the galleries as a complement to Passport to Paris, a three-pronged series of exhibitions at the museum that include a room that evokes the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, decorative arts and furniture from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and 50 paintings from the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Connecticut. The museum’s “Court to Café” audio tour will also feature music by French composers performed by the Colorado Symphony. In addition, themes and artists from the exhibition are part of several French-inspired Masterworks programs by the Colorado Symphony this season, during which digital imagery of Impressionist masterpieces will be projected at Boettcher Concert Hall during performances of works by Debussy, Ibert, Berlioz, Ravel, and Chopin.
