The Butler County Symphony Orchestra in western Pennsylvania has appointed TANYA SATTESON concertmaster. She has performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, and the Academy Chamber Orchestra in Philadelphia. Satteson has appeared as soloist with the University of Manitoba and Winnipeg symphony orchestras as well as the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colo., where she held the assistant concertmaster post. She was a clinician at the Academy of Strings workshop in Tennessee in 2008 and 2009, and for the past six years has served as an early-childhood educator and violin faculty member at the Center for Young Musicians in Wexford, Pa. Satteson completed the Suzuki pedagogical training program at Cleveland Institute of Music, where she also earned a master’s degree in violin performance.
