The Juilliard School in New York City has received a $7 million grant from the Jerome L. Greene Foundation to support scholarships for students in music, dance, and drama. The new gift brings the Foundation’s total donations for scholarships at Juilliard to $25.5 million, according to Juilliard President Joseph Polisi, and is expected to support approximately 50 students per year. Greene, a New York real estate attorney, was a member of Juilliard’s Board of Trustees from 1985 until his death, in 1999. First established in 1985, the Jerome L. Greene Fellowships are among the largest single scholarship programs at Juilliard.
