Volunteer groups that support orchestras across the country have assembled some of their best projects in the Gold Book Online, a valuable resource of successful projects with years of helpful information. Gold Book Online facilitates easy networking and information-sharing among volunteer organizations.
The Gold Book Project for this month is the Celebrity Conductor Contest, a successful fundraiser and public relations project for the Waco Symphony Council for over ten years. Every other year, four contestants, selected from various segments of our community, sell $20 votes. The one who has the most votes and raises the most money wins the privilege of conducting the Waco Symphony Orchestra in “Sleigh Ride” at their annual holiday concert.
