The New York Youth Symphony has selected JULIA WOLFE to head the First Music Commission Jury for Orchestra and Chamber. Past winner of a commission from NYYS’s long-running First Music program, Wolfe is a New York-based composer, co-founder of the Bang on a Can music collective, and a member of the composition faculty at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
