The Utah Symphony is in the midst of a “digital scavenger hunt,” with clues relating to the 2014-15 season being revealed on each of eight days leading up to February 4, when the orchestra will formally announce its upcoming season. In the scavenger hunt, which began on January 25, one clue a day is posted at the Utah Symphony website in the form of word scrambles, audio clips, and visual collages about a specific musical work, guest artist name, or program theme. For each correct answer submitted online, participants will receive a $10 voucher good toward a future performance; those with all eight correct answers get a voucher for a ticket to an upcoming performance. The grand prize is a pair of tickets to the entire 2014-15 season, plus dinner and a hotel stay in Salt Lake City. “We wanted to encourage a fun interaction with our audiences and create a compelling reason for them solve clues leading to some of the better-known works in our  2014-15 Masterworks series,” said Jon Miles, vice president of marketing and public relations.
