Applications open for Judy Center grants supporting innovative ensembles

The deadline is September 1 to submit proposals for the first cycle of grants for the newly established Paul R. Judy Center for Applied Research at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. The grants—open to all ages and professional levels, with students encouraged to apply—are intended to support new initiatives, events, and research about innovative ensembles. Grants will range from $500 to $2,000 and a total of $15,000 to $25,000 will be awarded this year, with applicants notified of results by October 15, 2014.
Paul R. Judy is founder of the Eastman School of Music’s Orchestra Musician Forum and its comprehensive website for musicians, Polyphonic.org. The Paul R.
