LISA STELTENPOHL has been appointed principal viola of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Prior to joining the BSO on March 3 she was a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Steltenpohl has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, the Haddonfield (N.J.) Symphony (now called Symphony in C), and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. A native of North Barrington, Ill., she holds degrees from The Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School.
