The Boston Landmarks Orchestra and Music Director Christopher Wilkins have announced programming for the orchestra’s annual free outdoor concerts at the DCR Hatch Shell. The first of seven Wednesday-evening summer concerts will take place on July 17 with a performance of Carmina Burana in collaboration with the Back Bay Chorale and the One City Choir; also on the program are the world premiere of Larry Bell’s At the River and Leonard Bernstein’s On the Waterfront Suite. Also planned are a program of Latin music and dance, in partnership with Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción (the Conservatory Lab Charter School’s Dudamel Orchestra), the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and an orchestra of salsa musicians; a “Legacy of the Spirituals” program in partnership with the Museum of African American History, the New England Spiritual Ensemble; and a program celebrating the bicentennial of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” in collaboration with the 1812 Marine Guard for the USS Constitution and the USS Constitution Museum.
