Lincoln Center Education in New  York has announced details of a pilot program, “Lincoln Center Local HD,” through which digital streams of selected “Live from Lincoln Center” programs will be shown monthly at six branch libraries in Brooklyn and Queens from April to June. The free screenings—part of an initiative to bring Lincoln Center’s resources to new and underserved audiences and communities—will launch on April 5 at Bayside Library and Ridgewood Library, both in Queens, with “Kristin Chenoweth: The Dames of Broadway…All of ‘em!!!” and “Patina Miller in Concert.” Also planned are programs featuring the New York Philharmonic; the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra; Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center; and singers Audra McDonald and Stephanie Blythe. Each screening will include a live performance by a professional artist, refreshments, and a post-event discussion. The other four libraries in the program are Kensington, Greenpoint, and Macon, in Brooklyn; and Flushing Library in Queens.
