Calling for Submissions to Present at Conference as part of the Check This Out! Sessions
Every year, you are leading your organization in new directions, testing out new ideas, business models, audience initiatives, artistic projects, and more. What did you try this year? We want to hear from you!
For the Conference this June, the League is seeking organizations to present the exciting new ideas you experimented with this year at a session called “Check This Out.” These sessions are fast-paced opportunities for those attending Conference to get a quick snapshot of stimulating work happening in the orchestral field. We will introduce work in the areas of audience initiatives, artistic projects, development and marketing innovations, community and education work, and technology innovations, which have potential for replication and learning by the field at large.
The projects will be shared in short, rapid-fire presentations in front of other orchestra professionals and volunteers at Conference, which takes place June 4-6 in Seattle.
Please submit no more than 150 words describing your program/project by April 14, 2014 to Jessica Balboni at jbalboni@americanorchestras.org. Include any appropriate links to videos, etc. You will be notified during the week of April 28th. If selected, a representative of your organization will be asked to present your program/project at either the June 5 session from 9am to 10:15am or at the 11:15am to 12:30pm session that day.
