Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City has appointed JANET M. TORRES director of government and community engagement. A native of Queens, N.Y., with extensive experience in government and community relations, change management, policy development, and cultural arts policy, Torres goes to Lincoln Center from the office of New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, where as senior policy analyst she managed the Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Team. She had previously served as director of government and community affairs for the Wildlife Conservation Society, based in Bronx, N.Y. She is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Fordham University.
