ALAN T. HOPPER has been named president and CEO of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra, which serves Florida’s Palm Beach and Treasure Coast. Hopper brings 34 years of experience in orchestra management, fundraising, and community engagement, most recently as president of the Baton Rouge (La.) Symphony Orchestra. He has held executive director posts with the Jacksonville Symphony Association, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and the Evansville (Ind.) Philharmonic, and served earlier in his career as general manager of the Florida Orchestra. Hopper holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Florida, has taught bassoon and saxophone at USF, and has performed and recorded with the Ars Nova Wind Quintet.
