Ohio’s Dayton Performing Arts Alliance has been named by the Dayton Business Journal as a winner of one of its inaugural Innovative Index Awards. The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance was formed in July 2012 by the Dayton Ballet, the Dayton Opera, and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. The DBJ Innovative Index Awards were given in four categories: Service to Society, Workforce Development, Commercialization, and Global Fluency; DPAA was one of four winners in the Service to Society category, along with Aileron, CARE House, and Premier Health Group. The awards honor individuals, teams, and companies in the Dayton area that have discovered innovative approaches and solutions to fuel the region’s economy, and include industries such healthcare, nonprofits, arts, technology, education, and sports. Paul Helfrich, President & CEO of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance, said, “The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance is leading the way with a new, collaborative approach to the performing arts. We innovate every day in bringing the Dayton region cultural and educational programs of the highest quality.”
