California’s San Luis Obispo Symphony has appointed EDMUND FEINGOLD executive director; he succeeds JIM BLACK, who stepped down from that post last December. Feingold’s management experience includes executive director positions with Boston Musica Viva, the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, and most recently the Monterey (Calif.) Symphony. He began his career in performing arts administration at Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company and Boston Ballet, then spent four years (1998-2002) at the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. Feingold holds a bachelor’s degree in music and an MBA in public and nonprofit management from Boston University.
