Beginning with its fall issue, Symphony magazine will introduce SoundWaves, a new advertising section in which readers can find out about new and historic recordings from orchestras and artists across the industry. SoundWaves will feature four ads per page at an introductory price of $350 for a ¼ page color ad—a significant savings from Symphony’s standard advertising rates.

“With new recordings debuting every day, and many of our business partners and orchestras looking to spread the word, we felt that an affordable advertising section within the magazine specifically highlighting new and existing recordings was a great way to make our readers aware of all the different and amazing music available,” says Steve Alter, Symphony’s director of advertising.

The deadline to reserve a SoundWaves ad for the fall 2014 issue is August 1, with materials (3 5/8 x 4 1/8 inches, press ready pdf, minimum 300dpi) due by August 15.

To place an ad in the inaugural SoundWaves section, or for additional information on this and other advertising opportunities, contact Symphony magazine at 646 822 4051 or salter@symphony.org.
