The Queensland Symphony Orchestra (Brisbane, Australia) has announced that Israeli violinist SHLOMO MINTZ will join the QSO as soloist-in-residence in 2015, through a new program supported by the T & J St Baker Charitable Trust. Mintz, who enjoys an international career as a violin soloist, will be in residence with the QSO for two extended periods during the year, performing in its mainstage concert season, leading a chamber-music performance with QSO musicians, and presenting workshops, master classes, and talks. The orchestra also hopes to partner with major teaching institutions to further his contribution to the Queensland education sector.
