LEE MUSIKER has been named music director and principal conductor of Florida’s Palm Beach Pops, effective with the 2014-15 season. An Emmy- and Grammy-winning pianist, arranger/orchestrator, conductor, and music educator, Musiker first led the Palm Beach Pops this past February in a sold-out concert honoring its founding conductor, the late Bob Lappin. Musiker has appeared as guest conductor with the New York Philharmonic and the Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Milwaukee, National, and Pittsburgh symphony orchestras. He has collaborated frequently with Broadway artists as well as those from the operatic, jazz, pop, and classical worlds.
